Lynyrd Skynyrd to Conclude Summer Concert Series at Thunder Valley Casino Resort

Thunder Valley Casino Resort announced today that southern rock legend Lynyrd Skynyrd will conclude its second annual summer concert series on September 22 in its 3,500-seat outdoor amphitheater. Tickets for the show will go on sale April 28 and are expected to sell out quickly.

Other concerts for the amphitheater announced today include Joan Jett & The Blackhearts on June 18, Super 70’s Soul Jam on July 7, Train on July 24, Gabriel Iglesias on August 20, Daryl Hall & John Oates on September 11, “The Undisputed King of the Accordion” Ramon Ayala on September 17. There will also be a Chinese concert on June 25 and a Vietnamese concert on July 16.

Tickets are on sale now for Ramon Ayala, Daryl Hall & John Oates and Gabriel Iglesias.

Rocklin High School Graduate Makes Good

Here's Rocklin High School graduate, Brodi Nicholas' (Brandon Nicholas Odion) latest music  video.  Though his love is music, he also works with "Don't Worry be Happy" charity that gives money and support to families that have cancer victims.  In fact, Brodi just performed in Santa Ana for a large Charity event to raise money for the "Don't Worry be happy" charity.

Lincoln’s Feats of Clay opens 24th year Saturday, April 30

Lincoln Arts will open Feats of Clay XXIV with a special Benefits Reception at the Gladding, McBean terra cotta factory on Saturday evening, April 30. This gala event gives VIP attendees a first look at the exhibit of some 80 sculptures that have been selected from the 1,500-plus entries in the annual competition of artists from the U.S., Canada and Mexico.  With a Mardi Gras theme, the reception will have live music, food catered by The Club Car of Auburn and a no-host bar with premium wines and beer. The night’s festivities are held in the historic factory buildings of Gladding, McBean.

Annual Music for Hope Benefit Concert to support cancer research

The Oakmont, Roseville, Woodcreek, Antelope, and Granite Bay High School Concert Bands will hold the 11th Annual Music for Hope benefit concert in the Granite Bay High School performing arts theatre on April 13, 2011, at 7:00pm.  This unique event will feature performances by the concert bands from each high school.   All proceeds from ticket sales and donations will be donated to ALS and the American Cancer Society.   

The first Music for Hope concert was held in the spring of 2000 to benefit the ALS Association in honor of a generous, 
selfless volunteer band mom, who was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) in 1999.  Her generosity and graciousness touched the lives of many folks in band, scouting, and throughout the community.

Summer Concert Series at Thunder Valley Casino Resort

Thunder Valley Casino Resort is kicking off its second annual summer concert series in its 3,500-seat outdoor amphitheater on May 21 with Creedence Clearwater Revisited .  The show will be followed by the alternative rock band, the Fray on May 25.  The concerts continue with Kool & The Gang/Commodores on June 3, Beach Boys on July 1, and Tesla on July 9. Tickets for all of these shows are now on sale. 

Tickets will also go on sale later this month for Chicago on July 30, Doobie Brothers on August 5, Peter Frampton on August 6 and Huey Lewis & The News on August 12.
