Recycle The Treats Project Fills Stockings For Challenged Families
Sacramento,CA. With Halloween on the horizon and kiddies beginning to select an assortment of clever costumes, parents everywhere are probably pondering…what shall we do with ALL of that candy? “ My children adore the tradition of trick or treating and I would never deprive them of that-however it is difficult to cope with having that much sugar around the house for weeks to follow” surmises Sandra Cadena of Rocklin, CA.
Cadena’s concern seems to be a common one, and thanks to Hope For The Holidays program organizers a project called Recycle The Treats presents a simple solution! Children are encourages to contribute back one half of the goodies they collect to Recycle The Treats, so they may be used to fill holiday stockings for challenged families in Sacramento, Placer, Yolo and El Dorado counties.
Recycle The Treats is the brain child of Sacramento resident Zackarie Moore, whom came up with the concept five years ago, as a teen charged with making Christmas a happier occasion for those who may otherwise do without. Moore has remained involved in Hope For The Holidays and says he takes great pleasure in seeing youngsters learn the value of giving back through such a positive project.
Recycle The Treats collection sites will be available in the Greater Sacramento region along with volunteers willing to scoop up piles of candy gathered. To learn more about Recycle The Treats or become involved please contact Kathleen Moore at 916-259-4396 or email@example.com .
