(Woodland, CA) – All are welcome to participate in the following special programs held during the month of July at Yolo County’s Esparto Regional Library, located at 17065 Yolo Avenue in Esparto:

• June 1-August 15: Yolo County Library’s Summer Reading Program. All ages are welcome to sign up online or at your local library to receive a free prize and to enter into drawings by attending programs and completing reading challenges.

• July 5: Afternoon Movie, 1:30 p.m. Children and families are invited to view a family friendly movie rated G or PG. For movie title call: (530) 787-3426.

• July 7: Food Olympics at the Library, 6:00 p.m. Join us in celebrating Brazil as the location for the Summer Olympics 2016 by tasting a gold medal Brazilian-inspired menu!

• July 12 and July 26: Mini Maker Camp, 1:30 p.m. This hands-on family fun program will involve science, technology, engineering, art and math.

• July 14: Rain Water Storage Garden Program, 6:30 p.m. This garden information program is presented by the UCCE Master Gardeners of Yolo County.

• July 19: The Banana Slug String Band, 2:00 p.m. Listen and enjoy music played by this group of lovable musicians, songwriters and educators who blend music, theater and puppetry together at the Esparto High School Auditorium, located at 17121 Yolo Avenue in Esparto.

• July 21: Children’s Art Class with Julie, 3:30 p.m. Enjoy a hands on class featuring no-sew molas.

• July 28: Table Tennis at the Library, 1:30 p.m. Children and families are invited to have fun creating table tennis (ping pong) paddles and playing the game.

The following ongoing programs continue in July:

• English Conversation Group, Tuesdays at 1:15 p.m. Converse and improve your English in a fun and relaxed setting with the aid of a group facilitator. Drop-in visitors are always welcome.

• Bi-lingual Story Time, Thursdays at 11:00 a.m. Children ages 2-6 years old and their parents and caregivers are invited to join us for stories, songs, movement, rhymes and finger-plays. All bi-lingual story times are provided through a grant from First 5 Yolo.

NOTICE: Yolo County Library branches will be closed on July 4 in observance of Independence Day.

On July 20, all Yolo County Library branches will only be open from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. due to an All Staff Meeting.
