Discover.  In addition to its fascinating Gold Rush past, the Sacramento area is rich with an amazing array of state-of-the-art museums and historic sites that offer visitors the chance to explore California’s fine art, history, science, and wildlife treasures all year long.  In November, many of the 30 members of Sacramento Association of Museums (SAM) are featuring a number of special events and activities honoring military veterans, a sampling of which include the following:

Denio’s Farmers Market and Swap Meet in Roseville will host a special Mexican Wrestling event on Sunday, October 18, featuring famed Mexican wrestlers Hijo De Fishman, Mascara Infernal, Furia Nocturna and many more. Doors open to the public at 12 noon, with the first match starting at 1 p.m.

“Lucha Libre Mexicana is a fun and thrilling event for everyone in the family,” said Eric Denio, operations manager of Denio’s Farmers Market and Swap Meet. “The colorful masks, quick maneuvers and aerial strikes take professional wrestling up a notch. We are excited to bring the best Luchadores back to the ring in Roseville for a second time this year.”
