South Placer Rotary Club Hosts Annual Rocklin Brewfest on June 4

ROCKLIN – To some people, it’s just beer. But to aficionados, it’s a special brew carefully created with a view toward crafting a unique and pleasing taste.

The South Placer Rotary Club will host the eighth annual Rocklin Brewfest on Saturday, June 4 at Johnson-Springview Park in Rocklin. The community event will feature live music, great food and samplings from more than 30 microbrews and various wineries.

This is the largest fundraiser of the year for the South Placer Rotary Club, one of leading charitable organizations in the region. Last year’s event drew approximately 1,850 people and raised more than $52,000 for various charitable contributions. Rocklin Brewfest runs from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.

CITRUS! SOME FOR YOU, SOME TO SHARE.

It is citrus season, and I am so excited because my little one year old Meyer lemon tree has four lemons on it!  They will be ready to pick soon.  Our 40-year old orange tree is full and ready to harvest.

LET'S GET DRESSED.

LET'S GET DRESSED.

One simple change you can make to drastically improve your health is to remove any and all processed sauces, dips and dressings from your diet.  Store-bought dressings in particular are often lacking in nutrients and fiber, and are high in unpronounceable preservatives, salt, sugar and unnecessary, unhealthy fats (and can taste artificial).

Try this super easy and quick formula for making your own amazing salad dressings, dips and sauces.  Have fun, play with the ingredients.  The possibilities are endless!
