During the “sneak peek” guided tours (before the furnishings arrive and the homeowners move in), guests will be encouraged to ask questions to learn more about what they see, the techniques and materials used, and the design-build process.  The home is located at 9235 Royal Crest Drive in Granite Bay (just off East Roseville Parkway, near Barton Road).

How to Landscape Day June 22

How to Landscape Day June 22

It's that time again! The popular annual event presented by San Juan Water District and the City of Folsom is back and better than ever.

Attendees will be treated to the latest information in water efficient and environmentally friendly landscape design from some of the region’s top landscape experts. Speakers from local garden supply stores, nurseries and University of California Integrated Pest Management program will lend their expertise in water saving plants, pest control and organic growing. Cheryl Buckwater, an expert in eco-friendly landscape design, will share her tips for creating and maintaining a water smart garden at 12:30 p.m.

Outdoor irrigation accounts for almost half of residential water use, reaching as high as 70 percent in the summer. With this year’s reduced snowpack and Folsom Lake water level projections, we all need to cut back on water use.
