Calling all canines…High-tail it to the Mobile Pop-Up Dog Park in Midtown in August
Presented by the Midtown Business Association, plans are afoot to have the mobile Pop-Up Dog Park set-up in a shady area adjacent to the Midtown Farmers Market on Saturday, August 20, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Back by popular demand, the Pop-Up Dog Park will also be accompanied by a number of special canine-friendly activities such as having the Front Street Animal Shelter on-site to promote pet adoptions and offer microchip services, volunteers providing obedience training, and interested vendors offering gift giveaways, selling pet-friendly “swag” items and more.
Created to increase canine-friendly interaction and help to nurture a strong sense of community in the heart of Midtown, the portable, sustainable and FREE Pop-Up Dog Park uses portable picket fencing and a double-gate system to ensure the dogs are secure inside the mobile structure. Due to the structural limits of the fencing, the Pop-Up Dog Park is designed for dogs 30 pounds or less.
