Lincoln High School Robotics Team to compete in national championship

The Lincoln High School Robotics Team competed at the Silicon Valley Regional this past week. The Silicon Valley regional is one of the most competitive robotics competitions in the country.

The Fighting Z-bots WON the Rookie All Star award, the highest award for first year teams, given to the best all-around first year robotics team.

In the 20 years FIRST robotics competition has been in existence; Lincoln is the ONLY team from the greater Sacramento area to have won this prestigious award.  We are especially proud of our students, because our school does not have a lot of money and had to do all of our own fabricating in our welding shop.

The Fighting Z-bots have now qualified to compete in the National championship, against the best teams in the country at the Edward Jones Dome in St Louis, Missouri - Home of the ST Louis Rams.

The competition will be April 28-30th!

The team is looking for sponsors.  Donations can be made via their Website at http://www.fightingzbots.org/

They are a qualified non-profit organization.
